Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Training Requirements
The American Geriatrics Society (AGS), the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs (ADGAP), and a working group of geriatricians worked together to develop curricular milestones and identify what the End-of-Training Entrustable Professional Activities should be for geriatrics fellows . The work has culminated in the publication of two articles in JAGS. To read more about both projects, please click on the links below.
AGS and ADGAP worked collaboratively with other subspecialties on a common set of reporting milestones for internal medicine subspecialty training. This effort was led by the American Board of Internal Medicine, ACGME, and the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM). Because geriatric medicine spans family medicine as well as internal medicine, ABIM/ACGME/AAIM facilitated a conversation with family medicine and the proposed reporting milestones were accepted for family medicine fellowship training. The common reporting milestones can be accessed via the link below.
